About the test
This allows each test in the Ancient Ancestry® Series to go back further and more deeply into the past and reconstruct the regional changes in the genetic gene pools with minimal assumptions.
To calculate your ancient local ancestry, the test identified small fragments of your autosomal DNA that were retained from known ancient populations and were passed on to you by your ancestors without being accidentally lost by chance.
The Advanced Test includes all known 343 ancient British Islander groups of over 1000 British Islander(!) sequenced to date (12,500 BC - 1090 AD), including:

All of this is presented in an interactive display that allows you to explore and connect with every ancient person as you uncover your roots.
This unique test has no parallel in other companies. It was developed over five years and could not have been made available without a breakthrough in AI and paleogenomics, which enabled the sequencing of the DNA of ancient British Isles and non-British Isles populations.
Why take this test
This longing to know where we come from is one of the most basic and timeless human needs. It is not just curiosity — it is about identity, belonging, and the story of you. To know your ancestry is to know yourself.
Unlike ordinary DNA tests that only compare you to modern-day people, our Ancient British Isles Ancestry Test goes further. It is built on cutting-edge science that uses ancient DNA from true historical populations — people who lived thousands of years ago. These are the men and women who built monuments like Stonehenge, who walked the ancient lands of Britain and Ireland long before history was written.
By analyzing your DNA against these authentic ancient genomes, we uncover connections that modern tests simply cannot see. This is the only test designed to look into the past itself — not just to show who you are like today, but to reveal who you truly came from.
When you take this test, you don’t just get results — you reconnect with the story of your ancestors. You learn the truths hidden in your blood that link you to the land, to its history, and to the people who shaped it.
Find your place in history. Connect with your true roots. Discover the ancestry that no other test can reveal.
