The Ancient Ancestry® Series includes revolutionary DNA tests that enable you to trace your fine-regional ancient origins based on DNA-mixture events that started up to 15,000 years ago! The Ancient Ancestry® Series does not rely on the self-reported ancestry of modern-day people like yourself because no one can trace their ancestry for over 500 years. To penetrate 15,000 years into the past, The Ancient Ancestry® Series uses only DNA extracted from skeletons dated to prehistoric times.
This allows each test in the Ancient Ancestry® Series to go back further and more deeply into the past and reconstruct the regional changes in the genetic gene pools with minimal assumptions.
To calculate your ancient local ancestry, the test identified small fragments of your autosomal DNA that were retained from known ancient populations and were passed on to you by your ancestors without being accidentally lost by chance.
